Grocery Key Holder

Overview

As a Grocery Team Leader (Key Holder) at Gordon Food Service, you will lead daily store operations, support a strong customer service culture, and develop leadership skills for future growth.

• Open and close the store.
• Assist with daily store operations and tasks.
• Unload and organize merchandise from delivery trucks; transfer items from stockroom to the store.
• Maintain merchandise quality, proper product rotation, and food handling practices.
• Provide exceptional customer service; handle cash, conduct bank deposits, and manage register counts.
• Help build and train the sales team and supervise associate performance.

• 1-2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver's license strongly preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift items above shoulder height.
• Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to safely operate power equipment such as cutting equipment, walkie lifts, and forklifts where applicable.
• Minimum age 18 with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of pre-employment checks (drug screen, criminal background check).
• Basic computer skills.
