Swing Sales Rep-Merchandiser
The primary duty of the Swing Sales Rep-Merchandiser position is to install and/or replace all permanent and promotional POS items. This position designs and builds all promotional and decorative displays to increase volume and maximize brand visibility. This position resets, rotates, and assesses products at its assigned accounts. The position also pulls vacation and/or relief routes for Sales Representatives on an as-needed basis.
This position deals with specialty beers and products.
Responsibilities include filling in for sales representatives (vacation, open position, etc.) as needed, building healthy business relationships and establishing good communication with retail customers, working collaboratively with customers to establish their needs and design solutions that fulfill them, leveraging relationships with accounts to sell in new brands, engaging in regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts to sell product, gain distribution, merchandise, and stock product, promoting Ben
E. Keith brands at retail through promotions, consumer education and merchandising, executing all company goals to enhance the sales, distribution, shelf space, display coverage, tap share and merchandising of all brands carried by Ben
E. Keith, building product displays; executing placement of signage and other merchandising material to ensure maximum brand visibility in all assigned retail accounts; maintaining the "Look of the Leader", remaining aware of and executing basic marketing activity as it relates to our sales channels (i.e. ad features, out-of-stocks, retailer policies and concerns), identifying merchandising opportunities at account and making recommendations to customer, regularly replacing merchandising material at customer accounts to coincide with marketing programs, ensuring maximum visibility of Ben

Keith products at account (beer shelves, beer caves, displays, etc.) and that products are priced appropriately, organizing and refilling back stock, coolers, beer shelves and displays, maintaining designated back stock area at customer location; ensuring area is organized and free of trash, maintaining product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stock regularly, remaining aware of all Ben
E. Keith product offerings and the individual value they provide, regularly monitoring inventory to ensure proper stock levels and rotation, attending daily meetings (morning and/or afternoon) with Area Sales Manager to discuss market opportunities and challenges, communicating all sales and merchandising opportunities or challenges (product placements, out of stocks, out of code), as well as any competitive activity, to Area Sales Manager, projecting a friendly, professional image at all times, prioritizing multiple, competing priorities, attending meetings as required, operating all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policy, ensuring company equipment is in safe, working condition;
reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor, maintaining and keeping clean assigned company vehicle at all times, completing assigned surveys (for example, number of Ben
E. Keith retail displays compared to competition) in order to gauge internal results versus competition, and performing other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
• Draught experience preferred
• Ability to learn and effectively use the handheld sales unit
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) preferred
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Able to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments
• Good oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environment
• Must be highly motivated and results oriented, with a strong attention to detail
• Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must be able to read and write English
• Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear
