The Project Controls Specialist I coordinate sand performsprojectcontrolactivities from pre-construction through execution and close-out.

Essential Functions Project Setup- Set up projects in ERP and project management systems to track and analyze performance data
- Develop and implement project control plans, budgets, and cost breakdown structures (CBS)
- Manage project controls and timelines to ensure compliance with cost standards and financial regulations
- Monitor performance, quantity estimates, and claims;providing regular progress updates to the project team
- Track earned value, costs, and schedules to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Maintain and oversee change management procedures, including review and approval of change orders to budget and revenue
- Prepare weekly productivity reports and month-end reporting packages, including variance and forecast analysis
- Maintain time-phased forecasts and cash flow reports
- Update and monitor project dashboards (e.g., Power BI) and respond to ad-hoc data requests
- Manage billing schedules and client invoicing processes
- Participate in project meetings to review timelines, deliverables, and performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors
- Development and implement projectcontrolsbest practices
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communicationability
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Abilitytoworkindependentlyandcollaborate across departments
- Capableofworkingonmultipleprojectsinafast-paced environment
- Results oriented with a focus on achieving project goals
- BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Construction Management ( Minimum of 5 years of project controls experience in lieu of aBachelor’sDegree)
- 1-3 years of project controls experience
- Working knowledge of project controls and project management principles
- Working Knowledge to Proficiency in computer applications such as financial tools, spreadsheets
- Strongunderstandingofthefulllifecycleofaconstructionproject
This role is to be based in the Downtown Houston office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote).
