Retail, JOB SUMMARY The Stock Supervisor provides operational and retail support to the Retail Management and Buying Team by receiving, shipping, merchandising and stocking of products and resources across campus. This employee will follow all inventory and departmental policies and procedures, assist in ticketing product(s), stocking and restocking merchandise for floor presentation according to visual standards, maintain the stock levels at all outlets as determined, maintain retail areas in a neat and orderly fashion, assist with the monthly recordkeeping of inventory counts as well as assist with the physical inventory process(s).

The Stock Supervisor will also share any feedback on assortments to provide maximum sales and meet financial objectives while achieving a superior service atmosphere in line with company philosophies. Through collaboration with the store management team and operations, they will help coach behaviors to all associates regarding restocking and reticketing to cultivate a high performing team to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers.

They will leverage all operational processes to deliver a seamless customer experience when dealing with special orders and Pop-Ups. This role is critical to maintaining the luxury standard and reputation of The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa while upholding the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.

• Help manage and direct all incoming shipments to store for resale or operations across campus
• Ensure sales floors/outlets are consistently replenished throughout the day/week.
• Prioritize replenishment based on sales volume, customer demand, and/or store needs.
• Communicate with managers/buyers regarding low-stock and high demand items.
• Ensure all procedures are implemented and followed – knowledge of open to buy and processing of product with purchase orders, along with focusing on timeliness, accuracy and completion. All goods should hit the floor within 48 hours of receipt
• Partner to help manage an accurate and timely process for all return-to-vendors and damaged/defectives
• Help with physical inventories, protect company assets and decrease shrinkage via staff training, accuracy and timeliness in importance of ticketing process
• Maintain a clean and orderly stockroom/receiving area and to ensure accuracy, shrinkage and staff can easily locate
• Performs any other duties as assigned by manager(s) or buyer(s)
• Have a working understanding of how inventory movement though sales and returns affects inventory accuracy
• Partners with ROM and AM in getting goods to the floor

• Follow all company loss-prevention procedures
• Monitor inventory movement to help prevent theft or inventory loss
• Ensure proper handling of high-value merchandise
• Maintain a safe working environment in the stockroom
• Follow OSHA/company safety standards and proper lifting procedures
• Report safety hazards, damaged or unsafe equipment and any security concerns

• Help prioritize and process receipts, special orders and reorders to increase daily sales
• Knowledge of Yellow Dog System along with reporting

• Help develop and train staff to maintain an organized backroom
• Partner with managers in merchandising, new rollouts, floor sets, etc
• Partner with Inventory Managers for daily stock retrieval
• Ensure staff is aware and trained in the basics of ticketing, stocking and merchandising
• Collaborate with all leaders to execute and identify shipment processing, merchandising, restocking and inventory initiatives and provide ideas as how to improve processes
• Help identify opportunities to improve stockroom efficiency and reduce wasted time
• Help to prepare the store for events, holidays and seasonal transitions
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and push/pull 100lb+

• High School Diploma required
• 5+ years of guest experience
• Thorough understanding of retail knowledge and inventory skills/systems
• Must have ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and follow up skills
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that fits the need of the business, including holidays, evening, overnight and weekend shifts
