This role covers the Southwest territory and has one clear mandate:
drive new customer acquisition and expand Quadra’s footprint with existing customers
. With Quadra’s ambitious U.S. growth plans, this region offers enormous potential.
As a Hunter, you’ll spend your days prospecting, conducting targeted outreach, and converting cold accounts into active revenue streams. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager will call on supplement and nutrition manufacturers, uncovering gaps in their formulations and supply chains, and positioning Quadra where we’re not currently winning. Your success will depend on identifying opportunities, qualifying the right stakeholders, and driving deals from initial conversation to close.
MainResponsibilities As An Account Manager At Quadra
- Proactively prospect in a wide-open territory with huge upside potential, to drive new business growth
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline that’s always full and aggressively moving through stages to a win
- Execute outbound activities including cold calls, emails, social outreach, and regular in-person customer visits
- Identify key decision makers, effectively navigating through gatekeepers
- Introduce and push Quadra’s products into new customers and expand applications within existing accounts
- Prioritize daily customer interactions to strengthen relationships, and convert opportunities into sales
- Achieve and exceed sales, margin and volume targets
- Manage your time, tasks, and territory with strong organization and professionalism
- Confidently negotiate and close deals with urgency and a winning mindset
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting to provide leadership with visibility into pipeline progress, wins, and losses
- Leverage internal and external resources to deliver exceptional service aligned with Quadra’s strong industry reputation
- Manage key account relationships in alignment with Quadra’s core values and strategic objectives
- Deliver clear, compelling presentations and written communications.
- Outgoing, willing to invest time with prospects/customers during and sometimes after typical business hours
- Open to learn new ideas & strategies as well as new products and applications
- A natural bias to action and highly results driven
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Passion for the industry, curious and possess excellent technical skills
- Ability to motivate oneself, to be independent, to learn new technologies and to adapt to new situations
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in science, Business or Commerce
- 3-5 years of proven experience in the supplement and/or ingredients industry; strong understanding of the features, applications of various supplement ingredients
- 3+ years of sales experience (B2B) including prospection, negotiation, business development and closing skills
- Proven ability to establish relationships of trust and identify opportunities, tailor solutions to client needs and effectively communicate value propositions
- You must have a good network of industry contacts and a strong knowledge of the supplements industry, market trends, regulations, industry development, etc.
- Product formulation, chemistry background would be an asset but not required
- Proven track record of sales growth and customer retention
- Identified organizational and problem-solving skills during the development, monitoring and conclusion of sales opportunities
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time, including overnight travel and international travel (Canada & USA)
