J&M Tank Lines, Inc. is a family-owned and operated tank truck company with over 75 years of experience in the transportation industry. We specialize in hauling dry and liquid bulk materials across the United States. We’re seeking a New Business Growth Leader in the Texas
market to join our Sales team and help us continue to win and grow in a competitive market.
Drive revenue growth by expanding our customer base within the asset-based trucking space, specifically tank truck sales, through proactive relationship-building and strategic business development. This is a high-impact role with significant autonomy and direct influence on company growth.
What Success Looks Like:- Consistently identify and secure new business opportunities that drive sustainable revenue growth
- Build and maintain a strong, active sales pipeline through effective prospecting and relationship management
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through onboarding to build lasting customer partnerships
- Work collaboratively with operations and internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences
- Establish yourself as a trusted, go-to resource for clients and colleagues alike
- Hunt for and qualify new business opportunities using CRM tools, networking, and industry knowledge
- Develop targeted account strategies and lead bid preparation and pricing discussions
- Drive onboarding and long-term partnership development with new clients
- Maintain accurate and timely data in Salesforce CRM
- Make confident, independent decisions that accelerate growth
- Minimum 3 years in sales or business development, in asset-based trucking, with tank truck sales a strong advantage
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a competitive environment
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and isn’t afraid to make impactful decisions
- Strong communicator and relationship-builder with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- 20-40% travel
- Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated commitment to continuous professional growth and development
- Experience managing bids and pricing strategies
- Familiarity with Linked In Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, or other sales tools
