Job Summary
Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Expected Salary Range $60k-$90k (based on exp);
Expected Total Comp $110k with commission
Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires a proactive and results‑driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProspecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential clients and leads within the assigned territory.
- Cold call, email, and use other methods to initiate contact with potential customers.
- Attend industry events and networking functions to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
Sales Presentations:
- Conduct product/service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits.
- Customize sales pitches to address the specific needs of each client.
- Provide accurate and detailed information about the company’s products or services.
Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
Sales Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
- Work to overcome objections and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and market demands.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and closed deals.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and submit them to the regional sales manager.
The ideal candidate has experience calling on electrical contractors as either a distributor or manufacturing rep.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
Knowledge & Skills Required- Strong Computer proficiency
- Proficiency using e‑mail, the internet, Microsoft Office, and other computer tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Goal‑oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Proven experience in outside sales or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory up to 1‑2 days a week.
- High school or equivalent GED certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
