Henderson Scott has been retained by a leading Pump Distributor in Texas, who is looking for a Director of Sales to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth in municipal and industrial markets in the South East of Texas
  • Identify and win new business through outreach, site visits, and relationship-building
  • Manage and grow existing accounts to increase long-term revenue
  • Build out a sales team as the company grows
  • Promote pumps, controls, and related equipment
  • Support customers with product selection, sizing, and applications
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate quotes, on-time delivery, and strong customer experience
  • Visit job sites, pre-bid meetings, and customer facilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven 5+ years of sales experience in municipal and/or industrial equipment markets
  • Background selling pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid-handling systems
  • Experience with inventory or order management systems
  • Existing contacts in municipal utilities, engineering firms, or industrial facilities
  • Familiarity with bidding, procurement, and engineered equipment sales cycles
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory
