POSITION TITLE:
Business Development Principal – IT Solutions (Field Sales)
LOCATION:
Katy, TX (Houston headquarters)
COMPENSATION:
Commission-only ($80–105K expected annual income, uncapped)

POSITION SUMMARY
We are a growing IT services provider specializing in managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and infrastructure support for small‑ and mid‑sized businesses. The Business Development Principal – IT Solutions will leverage existing accounts, personal networks, and new outbound efforts to sell IT services and long‑term support contracts throughout Texas.
We are seeking a high‑energy, entrepreneurial Sales Leader who is motivated by an uncapped compensation structure and interested in growing into a strategic business partner within a fast‑scaling IT organization. This is a commission‑only role built for professionals who want autonomy, limited managerial oversight, and limitless income potential.
TRAINING & ONBOARDING
You will receive:
- Training on IT service offerings, sales methodology, and competitive differentiators
- Shadowing sessions with technical and support teams to build confidence in solution positioning
- Guided introductions to major existing clients with the opportunity to own and grow those relationships
TARGET CLIENTS
You will build and maintain relationships with:
- Small to mid‑sized businesses relying on outsourced IT
- Multi‑site organizations needing scalable IT support
- Companies upgrading legacy systems or migrating to cloud infrastructure
- Organizations seeking cybersecurity assessments, monitoring, or compliance support
ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and territory development
- Maintain and expand existing accounts to ensure long‑term partnerships
- Manage the full sales cycle: discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful onboarding and adoption
- Accurately forecast pipeline and report sales activities
COMPENSATION
- $80–105K on‑target earnings (uncapped)
- Top performers commonly exceed $150K
- 10% commission on new managed service contracts (first‑year value)
- 5% commission on renewals
- 10% commission on project‑based IT work or cloud migrations
- Company laptop and VoIP phone provided

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- 2–10+ years in a quota‑carrying Sales role
- Strongly preferred: IT, SaaS, managed services, or technology services sales experience
- Experience in outside/field sales or territory development
- Strong closing skills and ability to build long‑term trust with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and driven by results
- Based in Houston, TX (required) with willingness to travel 50%
