Account Manager

About the Role

Do you enjoy talking with people and making things happen? Do you want to spend your time with customers instead of in a cubicle or lab? Do you want to start or further your career in sales with a successful company? We are hiring an outside sales representative to cover our Houston-based sales territory. This territory includes Southeast Texas, Southern Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.

While the territory is geographically large, the majority of your time will be spent in the Houston area. You will also need to travel overnight to Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Jackson.

• Promote the sale of our products within assigned territory in order to achieve sales goals.
• Serve existing customers and find new customers.
• Demonstrate products to end‑user customers in their laboratories and virtually.
• Distribute literature to customers and potential customers.
• Maintain and grow customer list in CRM.
• Live within 30 minutes of Houston.
• 25% overnight travel is required.

• Bachelor’s degree – preferably in the life sciences; lab experience is a plus.
• One or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Interest/aptitude to sell products to life science researchers.
• Customer service attitude – desire to go the extra mile for the customer.
• Self‑motivated – strong desire to succeed is essential.
• Valid driver’s license required and good driving record.

• Expected total compensation of $65,000 – $85,000 includes salary and commission.
