Pay Range: $89,680 - $112,100
Position Summary
As a key member of our business development team, you will establish relationships and secure contracts for CEVA Logistics' comprehensive logistics operations through direct and indirect sales methods. You will identify growth opportunities, develop strategies to increase company sales, and drive the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to closed deals.
Responsibilities
- Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts. Drive the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to closure.
- Prospect potential customers using direct methods (calling, face‑to‑face meetings) and indirect methods such as networking.
- Provide forecasts for best‑case sales volumes and submit sales presentations, opportunity reports, and activity results to leadership.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the products, services, and operations offered by CEVA Logistics.
- Interact regularly with station and operations managers, building cooperative relationships to ensure customer needs are met.
- Schedule and conduct a predetermined number of face‑to‑face sales visits as directed by management.
- Enter sales call information into the sales data system and provide reports as directed.
- Maintain a predetermined number of target accounts with active attention and progress toward closing, meeting or exceeding sales quota.
- Collaborate with other sales and operational staff to support a team‑selling environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 10+ years of sales experience in transportation may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Hunter mentality and proven B2B sales experience with a track record of sales achievements in a base plus commission environment.
- Experience closing sales at the executive level.
- Openness to candidates transitioning from operations, account management, or customer service roles within logistics/transportation.
Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), internet, and relevant sales software.
- Ability to produce complex, error‑free charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and presentations.
