Customer Solutions Specialist

Responsibilities

• You will maintain ongoing relationships with regional customers and sales staff by handling calls, correcting order issues, processing orders, and resolving product or service issues.
• Process sales orders and changes, confirm shipment/delivery dates, and handle cancellations.
• Provide specialty gas/supplies sales and support to customers, Customer Solutions Specialists, and the outside sales team.
• You will use business software systems to retrieve customer information, verify inventory levels, and process orders.
• Verify customer credit status and complete paperwork for issuing credits or debits.
• You will provide quotes and assistance to the sales force and management within set parameters.
• Suggest additional or alternative products and services to meet customer needs, following pricing guidelines.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal Linde customers, meeting call center performance metrics.

• High school diploma required; college or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience.
• Prior industry experience with knowledge of company products such as hardgoods, welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas, and medical gas required.
• Hands‑on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries required.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, be self‑motivated, and work flexible hours.
