Commercial Account Manager BDM

Location: Houston, TX

We are seeking a motivated Commercial Account Manager BDM to support Industrial Segment customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform various duties as requested by management to support company growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help support all Industrial and Territory team sales and profit goals established in consultation with Industrial and Territory team management
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations to optimize the share of wallet opportunities within the current and future customer base
  • Develop and execute superior customer experience for Strategic Accounts – training, program development, application expertise, equipment expertise, procedure development, services support, failure analysis, and reliability program development
  • Work collectively with all Sales Team to support and expand the overall offering for strategic industrial customers in niche markets
  • Work collectively with vendor partners to maximize profitability and products offered to the market
  • Use product and application expertise to improve profitability and support customer initiatives
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and support of value added approach
  • Promote Marketing promotions and programs to customers
  • Explain company policies and procedures (warranty information, collections policy, return goods policy, etc.)
  • Outage support for strategic industrial customers
  • Industrial lubricant sales support for strategic customers in niche market
  • Track performance of niche market segment to understand and communicate opportunities to the Industrial and Territory Sales teams
  • Overall reliability program development and implementation
  • Technical sales as it pertains to providing solutions for Industrial applications
Leadership
  • Involved in training other associates and acting as a mentor
  • Support Sales Team in the development of Annual Strategic Planning to achieve budget and growth goals for strategic industrial customers
  • Help provide oversight and technical support of lab services, filtration, equipment, and lube tech programs as needed
  • Continually enhance Technical skills and problem solving ability
  • Continuous learning and development of product knowledge and application expertise to provide support to the entire sales organization as needed
Other
  • Attend necessary regional, corporate, and industry meetings
  • Professionally represent the company at all times ensuring quality customer service
  • Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
  • Maintain communication with management with regards to technical issues in the marketplace
  • Maintain communication with management
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
  • Work overtime as needed
Qualifications
  • Prefer 5+ years of Industry Experience or Engineering Degree
  • Minimum education required – bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or related & relevant work experience
  • Travel 50%-70%
  • Reside within reasonable commuting distance
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into growth
  • Interpersonal skills – above‑average verbal/written communication skills
  • Effective training and negotiating abilities and ability to deal constructively with conflicts
  • Must have a high degree of patience with the ability to recognize potential problems through branches and how these relate to customers
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Technical programs
