Senior Oncology SpecialistWhat You Will Do
You will serve as the primary customer contact, providing comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s oncology products to medical professionals and communicating their clinical and economic benefits.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, deliver branded sales messages, execute planned programs, schedule and follow‑up medical educational programs, and achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales.
- Analyze sales activity effectiveness, perform territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle, building our brand and staying focused on patient service.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices, continuously learn, and grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist.
- Leverage oncology and disease state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive insights to deliver agreed results.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a non‑sales healthcare/scientific field.
- Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a non‑sales healthcare/scientific field.
- High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a non‑sales healthcare/scientific field.
- Preferred experience in Oncology.
- At least three years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing, leveraging industry knowledge, communicating with impact, driving results, and cultivating relationships.
The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $158,727 to $177,179. Salary varies by relevant skills and experience.
