Mission

Support the growth of the Group portfolio initiatives relevant to Next Chem Sustainable Materials & Circular Solutions business line, through specific business development activities aimed at targeting new opportunities - in respect both to Prospects and acquired Clients - increase sales and negotiating business deals to achieve the target results.

This position is focused on the North American, Mexico market. The position can be hybrid but preferred location is Houston TX and reporting to the Sustainable Tecnology Solutions (STS) Regional Vice President.

Main Activities & Responsibilities

Following the guidelines and functionally reporting to the responsible of the Next Chem group Functions in charge of the business development activities for the Sustainable Materials & Circular Solutions. The Business Development Sr. Manager reports directly to Next Chem - STS RVP USA, Canada, Mexico and has the following main responsibilities:

  • Ensure the achievement of the business development objective related to circularity by transforming waste into valuable resources, while using chemical and mechanical recycling for sustainable material recovery as defined with Next Chem Business Development Functions;
  • Ensure the planning of the business development activities in line with the priorities agreed;
  • Manage the relationship with prospects and acquired clients, to identify and target new business opportunities;
  • Guarantee the evaluation, execution and monitoring of the Business Development activities for the assigned market;
  • Ensure the analysis of the potential scenarios and Licensing exploitation options for each Business Development initiative of competence;
  • Ensure the management and monitoring of the proposals’ development (performed by Next Chem group Functions), until the project awards, in coherence with the assigned budgets and defined Plan;
  • Ensure the preparation of the business plan for the initiatives identified;
  • Ensure support in the scouting of relevant technologies, in the identification of opportunities and in the preparation of the technical-economic analysis of the technologies identified and proposed for investment.

The Candidate

You combine a technical background with 10+ years of experience working in the waste management and/or Biomass Gasification technology and/or Sustainable Aviation Fuels and/or chemical industry (upcycling or circular initiatives) with technical sales experience added with industry knowledge. A plus will be having USA grant or tax incentive knowledge.

For you it is the ultimate goal to make clients and Nextchem’s interests meet. Doing business in other countries and parts of the world is something you feel comfortable and familiar with. As potential new colleague you are a strong communicator and influencer with the different stakeholders and a liaison between our Italian team and North America Team.

You should have a technical and commercial drive. You are a relationship builder and networker. You have the ability to be creative at new technical solutions or commercials compromises are important assets to this challenging role. You recognize yourself in the characteristics: keen entrepreneurship, good listener, flexible with strong focus on service for our customers, able to work with deadlines on results, team player and result driven.
