Position OverviewHC Beauty is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow the Houston market. This is a field-based outside sales role for someone who thrives on prospecting, creating opportunity, and closing high-potential salon accounts.
This is not a territory maintenance role. This role will require heavy prospecting and has a new business focus.
The right person will build a qualified pipeline, win new business, and grow strategic accounts by helping salon owners increase profitability through products, education, tools, and business support. We are looking for someone who brings ownership, strong follow-through, and a genuine drive to win the right business.
What Success Looks Like in This Role- Build a strong pipeline of qualified salon opportunities
- Open new accounts consistently in the Houston market
- Close high-potential salons that align with HC Beauty’s standards
- Grow strategic accounts with discipline and follow-through
- Operate with ownership, drive, and strong execution
- Prospect consistently to identify and open new salon accounts
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities
- Conduct in-person meetings and sales presentations with salon owners and decision-makers
- Develop strong relationships that lead to long-term strategic partnerships
- Close new business and support account growth after onboarding
- Execute territory plans that expand HC Beauty’s presence in the Houston market
- Identify high-potential accounts and prioritize time accordingly
- Maintain strong follow-up and pipeline discipline
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer experience and account support
- Represent HC Beauty professionally in the field and at industry events as needed
- Track activity, opportunities, and outcomes accurately
- 3+ years of outside sales or business development experience
- Proven ability to prospect, open, and grow new accounts
- Strong relationship-building and closing skills
- Comfortable spending significant time in the field
- Self-starter with a high level of ownership and accountability
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Organized and disciplined in managing pipeline and follow-up
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Beauty industry experience is a plus, but a strong sales background matters most
- Are a true hunter, and are motivated by closing new clients
- Know how to create momentum instead of waiting for leads
- Enjoy opening doors and winning new business
- Are confident selling face-to-face

- Base salary starting at $50,000
- Uncapped commission
