Technical Software Sales Representative

Responsible for executing the regional sales strategy for the Texas Region.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend solutions that assist the customer in meeting their productivity objectives and grow sales within the assigned territory.

Partner with Software Engineers/Developers to deliver technical presentations that provide solutions to customers through XSPOC or other software solutions.

Engage in problem‑solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.

Actively sell and support software innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long‑term business relationships with SLB.

Assist in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers, including plant or facility executives.

Provide technical support to customers; identify and resolve customer complaints, escalating as required.

Support sales forecasting and market data‑driven sales strategy.

Maintain and update all sales activity data through

Mentor other Sales Representatives and Customer Sales Engineers, with a career interest in leading teams.

Skills / Knowledge
  • Strong sales network within software for artificial lift, with a proven track record in acquiring new customers.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop sales strategies, analytical and implementation skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to present and persuade at the leadership level.
  • Competitive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company.
  • Experience and knowledge of Automation, Enterprise Software and IIOT for the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Lift and Well Optimization.
  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas control and measurement systems.
  • Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drive/Variable Speed Drive integration and control.
  • Self‑driven, motivated.
  • Available for inter‑regional travel up to 50%.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years sales experience in the Oil & Gas segment with strategic connections.
  • Preferred software sales experience for artificial lift system sales.
  • Ability to develop effective business relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Salesforce (or other CRM) experience and Oracle.
  • Availability for inter‑regional travel 50%.
