20–30% Travel (Domestic & International)

A Japanese chemical manufacturing company is seeking a motivated Specialty Chemicals Sales Representative to expand its Amines and Engineering Plastic resins business across the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) and Industrial Plastic Compounds markets throughout the U.S.

This role combines technical sales, account management, and business development. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to existing customers while identifying and developing new opportunities to grow revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts within CASE and industrial plastics markets
  • Develop new business opportunities and expand market presence
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer visits
  • Collaborate with internal teams including R&D, sales, and marketing
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
  • Maintain sales forecasts, pipeline management, and reporting
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in specialty chemical technical sales
  • Experience in CASE and/or industrial plastic compounds preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to discuss formulations and applications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Navision / Dynamics NAV is a plus
Preferred Background
  • R&D experience combined with technical sales
  • Existing industry network within coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, or plastics markets
  • Manufacturing or specialty chemical distribution experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $73K–112K
  • Eligible for annual performance bonus
