Account Manager, Advertising Sales, Sales Marketing, Director of Sales
Are you a dynamic sales leader with deep experience in media, advertising, or entertainment? Account Makers has been engaged by a fast-growing media and entertainment company based in Houston to hire a Director of Sales. This full-time leadership role will oversee revenue growth across advertising, brand partnerships, and content distribution channels. The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing revenue strategies, building agency and brand relationships, expanding key accounts, and identifying new growth opportunities across media, production, and digital distribution partnerships.
AsDirector of Sales, you will:
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies that accelerate advertising revenue, sponsorship sales, and branded content partnerships.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team based in Houston.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics across pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, CPM optimization, and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major brands, media buyers, agencies, and distribution partners.
- Collaborate closely with content, marketing, production, and executive leadership to align revenue strategy with programming and audience growth.
- Negotiate complex advertising agreements, sponsorship packages, licensing deals, and long-term partnership contracts.
- Represent the company at industry events, media conferences, screenings, and networking engagements to elevate brand visibility.
This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate audience insights, viewership data, and market trends into actionable revenue strategies.
What We’re Looking For:- 8-12 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role within media, advertising, entertainment, or digital platforms.
- Proven track record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue growth across advertising sales, sponsor ships, branded content, or media distribution.
- Strong relationships within the Houston media and agency ecosystem.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands‑on approach to scaling revenue in a fast‑paced creative environment.
- Experience building cross‑functional partnerships across content, marketing, and executive teams.
- Deep understanding of media sales cycles, pricing strategy, CPM/CPC models, and revenue forecasting.
- Strong negotiation and executive communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM and forecasting tools (Salesforce preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
This full-time leadership position offers an OTE of $250,000–$350,000+ with a base salary ranging from $150,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
