Job Overview
Fugro is expanding its Global Strategic Account Management team with a Houston‑based position responsible for two of its key accounts in the region. The successful candidate is a senior commercial leader with a strong achievement mindset, bias for action, and the ability to deliver sustainable results in a complex, matrixed organization. The Global Client Relationship Leader (GCRL) is the custodian and primary owner of Fugro’s strategic relationship with one or two of the company’s most important global clients.
The role is accountable for defining, owning, and executing the global account strategy across the entire Fugro organization, ensuring a One Fugro approach toward the client(s). The GCRL drives sustainable revenue growth, diversification, and in‑depth relationships, transitioning Fugro from a project‑based supplier to a long‑term strategic partner.
- Build and maintain trusted, executive‑level relationships across the client organization globally.
- Position Fugro as a long‑term strategic partner.
- Act as a visible ambassador for Fugro values, modelling professionalism, integrity, and sound judgement while co‑designing multi‑year strategic roadmaps with senior client stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and govern a robust Global Account Strategy and Plan aligned with Fugro’s Path to Profitable Growth.
- Ensure the account plan remains a living strategy with clear priorities and actions.
- Maintain accurate long‑term opportunity and revenue outlooks.
- Drive organic growth across service lines, regions, and markets.
- Identify and lead cross‑selling and upselling opportunities across Fugro’s portfolio.
- Shape demand through solution co‑creation with clients and internal experts.
- Translate client strategy into Fugro capability deployment and innovation opportunities.
- Ensure high‑quality CRM data and disciplined opportunity management.
- Participate in go/no‑go decisions on major pursuits and feed insights back into account planning and execution.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, science, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in global account management, commercial leadership, or sales roles in the energy sector.
- Proven experience engaging senior client executives and influencing without authority.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience working in international, matrix organizations.
- Proficiency with Windows systems and other technical tools.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and sales software.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Currently hold or have the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel requirements.
- Travel up to 25% is required for this role.
