The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a high-performing Sales professional to join their Named Account team selling to Enterprise accounts (2,500-6,000 mailboxes) and managing up to 35 Mid‑Market / Named accounts. The role focuses on white‑space expansion, upselling, and cross‑selling within a partner ecosystem. The Named Account Manager reports to the Named Account Sales Director and is Texas‑based (candidate must reside in Houston or Austin).

day-to-day
  • Develop and execute a Path‑to‑Plan with a focus on forecast accuracy and SFDC hygiene.
  • Maintain relentless attention to detail and a never‑give‑up attitude; conduct frequent customer and partner meetings with an emphasis on executive selling (CISO, CIO, CMO, etc.).
  • Deliver strong presentations and demonstrate technical understanding of cybersecurity.
  • Maintain high sales activity (6–10 customer/partner meetings per week and 6 hours of dedicated prospecting).
What you bring to the team
  • Minimum 5 years of field‑sales experience selling complex cyber‑security solutions (or related field) and managing mid‑market accounts.
  • Demonstrable track record of success.
  • Experience working with channel partners and selling via two‑tier distribution.
  • Track record of developing complex, multi‑product/multi‑year proposals.
  • Engaged presentations focused on customer needs while delivering overall solution value.
  • Ability to identify customer business drivers.
  • Use‑case/business value selling.
  • Ability to quarterback a multitude of internal and external resources while managing competing priorities.
