The RoleWe’re looking for a senior sales leader to drive Armenta’s wholesale growth on two fronts: owning and growing our most important retail accounts and building and leading a national network of independent sales representatives. This is a high‑ownership role for someone who can both sell at the highest level — trunk shows, market appointments, and one‑of‑a‑kind Vault experiences — and recruit, develop, and manage a rep team that extends our reach across the country.
You’ll work directly with the founder and anchor the next phase of the brand’s growth.
- Own and grow a portfolio of key wholesale accounts (department‑store trunk shows, independent retailers, and specialty partners), including accounts transitioning into the role.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a national network of independent (1099) sales representatives — setting territory strategy, supporting them in the field, and holding the network to clear performance goals.
- Lead tradeshow and market strategy and execution, including COUTURE, and open qualified new accounts.
- Lead one‑of‑a‑kind / Vault selling at retailer and private‑client events — selling the story, the craft, and the ancient‑stone provenance.
- Set, track, and report on sales targets across both direct accounts and the rep network, using our CRM ().
- Partner with the founder and marketing on collection storytelling, sell‑through, and overall account strategy.
- 6–10+ years in fine jewelry or luxury sales, including direct experience building or managing an independent rep network or wholesale sales team.
- A proven record of opening and growing key accounts and consistently hitting targets.
- Excellence in experiential, story‑led selling at the high end of the market.
- Strong leadership: recruiting, onboarding, motivating, and managing independent reps.
- Willingness and ability to travel for trade shows, trunk shows, and market appointments.
- Strong organization and CRM discipline across a multi‑account, multi‑rep pipeline.
- Alignment with our values: craftsmanship, sustainability, and giving back to community and environment.
- Base salary: $75,000–$95,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Commission on personal account sales
- Override of 1–2.5% on the total production of the independent rep network you manage
- On‑target earnings: ~$120,000–$160,000+
