Computed Tomography Sales Consultant – Radiology – Houston, TX
Location:
Houston Metropolitan area, including College Station and parts of Southwestern Louisiana. Candidate must reside within the territory.
The Computed Tomography Sales Consultant drives revenue growth and market share for Bayer’s CT and cardiovascular (CV) portfolio, including injectors, contrast media, and related software and workflow solutions. The role generates demand by leveraging territory knowledge, building strong customer relationships, and applying consultative expertise across systems, stakeholders, and contracts. This includes developing deep relationships with radiology stakeholders, imaging managers, procurement leaders, and IT/biomed teams, while navigating health system decision‑making and engaging the broader Radiology ecosystem.
KeyTasks & Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and revenue targets for the CT portfolio within assigned accounts and territory.
- Build strong relationships with radiology leaders, CT technologists, procurement, and Value Analysis Committees to expand CT presence and exceed sales goals.
- Identify key decision‑makers and navigate complex buying processes across systems and accounts.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan that identifies key accounts, stakeholders, and growth opportunities with clear goals and resource allocation.
- Partner and proactively communicate with national, strategic, and account managers, and cross‑functional colleagues to integrate CT solutions into strategic accounts.
- Generate quotes and support the proposal process in alignment with account managers to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with CT and MR roles in shared accounts to maintain clear differentiation between CT and MR responsibilities.
- Proactively communicate insights with account managers and strategic teams.
- Utilize enterprise value selling tools and business insights to support customer needs and drive value.
- Maintain strong CRM discipline, documenting key stakeholders, logging activities, and leveraging sales reports.
- Act as a proactive business partner to the Customer Squad team, sharing insights on customer trends and contributing to strategic account plans.
- Provide complete reports on sales, market activity, and technical inquiries to leadership.
- Deliver value‑focused, insight‑driven presentations tailored to CT workflow and outcomes.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, communicating insights to leadership.
- Leverage data and reporting to make strategic decisions and ensure consistent pipeline management.
- Ensure seamless sales handoff and connectivity with downstream support teams to maintain continuity of customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with Bayer policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in all engagements.
- Manage resources effectively, including expense reporting and protection of company assets.
- Passion for advancing the U.S. radiology landscape and improving patient outcomes.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or related discipline.
- Track record of achieving sales targets in a complex healthcare environment.
- Deep knowledge of CT technology, contrast media, clinical applications, competitive landscape, and radiology economics.
- Understanding of radiology business and decision‑making dynamics in health systems.
- Ability to operate effectively in a cross‑functional, matrix environment under a Dynamic Shared Ownership model.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage customer objections, drive group consensus, and anticipate customer needs.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrates critical thinking and adaptability in rapidly changing environments.
- Self‑starter with strong time management and organizational skills; balances independent work with team collaboration.
