Houston, Texas Market | Outside Sales | Professional Beauty

Neill Corporation is seeking a Business Development Manager, Professional Beauty to grow and support the Aveda salon network across the Houston, Texas market through new business development, account management, salon business consulting, education enrollment, and retail sales growth.

This is a high-impact, relationship-driven outside sales role for someone who understands the professional beauty industry, enjoys building trusted partnerships, and is passionate about helping salons grow.

About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing the Aveda salon network through new business development, account management, salon business consulting, retail sales growth, education enrollment, and territory planning.

This role partners closely with salon owners, leaders, and teams to help them strengthen performance, elevate the guest experience, and maximize the full value of the Aveda and Neill partnership.

What You’ll Own:
New Business Development
  • Identify, prospect, and open new Aveda salon accounts that align with the Aveda brand and existing salon network.
  • Build and manage a healthy new business pipeline across the Houston territory.
  • Deliver compelling solutions presentations that demonstrate business acumen, brand knowledge, and a clear understanding of salon needs.
  • Represent Neill and Aveda with professionalism, credibility, and strong follow-through.
  • Grow existing Aveda salon accounts through strategic business planning, relationship management, and account-level sales execution.
  • Partner with salon owners and leaders to identify opportunities to grow retail sales, service performance, education participation, and guest experience.
  • Use Salesforce, CRM tools, sales reporting, and proprietary business tools to prioritize account activity and territory opportunities.
  • Monitor account performance and create action plans that support revenue growth and salon success.
Retail, Education & Brand Execution
  • Model and coach salon teams on Aveda retail best practices to support product sell-through and guest recommendations.
  • Enroll salon teams in Aveda and Neill education offerings that support sales growth, technical confidence, and business performance.
  • Promote Aveda Institute student placement within salons to support staffing and recruiting needs.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Aveda products, salon business-building programs, marketing initiatives, and brand guidelines.
What Success Looks Like
  • Growth in existing Aveda salon revenue and retail performance.
  • New salon openings that strengthen the Houston Aveda network.
  • Strong salon owner relationships built on trust, consistency, and business value.
  • Increased salon participation in education, programs, and brand initiatives.
  • Clear territory planning, disciplined follow-up, and strong CRM utilization.
What We’re Looking For
  • Passion for Aveda, professional beauty, salon business, and relationship-based selling.
  • Three or more years of sales, account management, business development, salon management, or professional beauty experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong communication, presentation, business writing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to create and execute strategic sales plans at both the account and territory level.
  • Confidence reading sales reports, financial information, and account performance data.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a field-based schedule.
  • Proficiency with mobile technology, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business communication tools.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Travel Requirements

This is a field-based outside sales role requiring regular travel throughout the assigned Houston territory and satellite markets. Travel may include salon visits, sales meetings, regional events, and occasional weekend commitments. Expected travel is approximately 50 to 75% within the territory.
