Overview
Responsibilities include identifying and developing new business opportunities within environmental, industrial, and consulting sectors; responding to incoming client inquiries and providing quotes for laboratory testing services; building and maintaining relationships with environmental consultants, engineers, municipalities, and industrial clients; communicating laboratory capabilities, turnaround times, and regulatory compliance standards; preparing and following up on proposals, bids, and pricing requests; coordinating with laboratory operations to ensure accurate service delivery and client satisfaction;
and maintaining detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM systems.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within environmental, industrial, and consulting sectors
- Respond to incoming client inquiries and provide quotes for laboratory testing services
- Build and maintain relationships with environmental consultants, engineers, municipalities, and industrial clients
- Communicate laboratory capabilities, turnaround times, and regulatory compliance standards
- Prepare and follow up on proposals, bids, and pricing requests
- Coordinate with laboratory operations to ensure accurate service delivery and client satisfaction
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM systems
- 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or account management experience (environmental or technical services preferred)
- Familiarity with environmental testing (water, soil, air, waste) or laboratory services is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand and explain technical information to non-technical clients
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Hub Spot, or similar)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Technical sales and solution selling; knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards; quoting and proposal development; customer relations management; attention to detail and accuracy; time management and prioritization
- Must be computer literate and experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); proficient in Windows and Internet email
Office-based or hybrid work environment. Frequent communication via phone, email, and virtual meetings. Collaboration with laboratory, logistics, and field teams.
Work AuthorizationThis position requires proof of United States citizenship or authorization to work in the United States. Drug testing may be required before starting employment; the company will cover the cost of the drug test. If the test is positive, the company will not extend a job offer.
