Counter Sales Representative-Plumbing & HVAC

Job Overview

Ferguson is seeking a Counter Sales Representative for immediate fill. Hours Monday–Friday 7am–5pm with Saturday rotation every 8 weeks 7:30am–12pm. Pay starts at $20 per hour, with potential bonus.

• Provide product advice to customers to meet their needs.
• Process orders via the order management system.
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures.
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pick‑up.
• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards.
• Restock merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Maintain a safe working environment, including proper use of PPE such as a safety harness with a 400lb capacity.

• 3–5 years of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• 1+ years of plumbing and/or HVAC product knowledge strongly preferred.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Office, required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• General math skills for cash accounting.
• Strong decision‑making and communication skills.
• Ability to learn; a must‑have.
• Pre‑employment drug and background screening required.
