Area Manager
The Regional Sales Manager position provides expertise, supports strategic direction, and executes initiatives for a field sales organization responsible for earning, retaining, and expanding business across an assigned geography of customers in the Greater Houston local market.
Role is regional and field‑based, with frequent local travel across Greater Houston and regular in‑office collaboration in the Houston, TX office.
Primary Responsibilities- Sales Leadership, Talent Management & Team Development – manage day‑to‑day operations for a team of field sales professionals, recruit, develop, mentor, retain talent, set expectations, provide coaching and development plans.
- Retention & Growth Execution – lead retention and growth strategies across existing and new accounts, partner with marketing, operations, product, and other stakeholders.
- Revenue, Profitability & Performance Management – drive achievement of sales, margin, and profitability targets; manage performance KPIs, forecasts, pipeline, and pricing.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years progressive B2B field sales or sales leadership experience, with at least 2 years leading sales teams focused on retention and growth.
- Experience in multi‑channel or multi‑segment environments, contract sales models, complex procurement, strategic sourcing, distribution channels, mid‑market client portfolios, forecasting, territory planning, and performance analytics.
- Preferred sales leadership or coaching certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Leader, Sandler).
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Leadership & Coaching – strong people‑management, coaching in field, developing future leaders.
- Strategic & Commercial Acumen – deep understanding of sales processes, contract structures, pricing, and retention strategies.
- Influence & Communication – excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Operational Excellence – strong discipline around pipeline management, forecasting, performance reviews, and matrixed collaboration.
- Excellent presentation skills and strong written communication.
- Results‑oriented, customer‑obsessed, decisive, adaptable, resilient with high integrity and accountability.

Pay, Benefits & Work ScheduleSalary range: $72,000 – $125,000 per year (subject to applicable state and local minimum wages). The company offers a competitive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan, health insurance, and incentive program participation.
