Job Description & How to Apply Below
AXG is partnered with a leading global chemical manufacturer with a significant production and distribution footprint. Following continued growth and recent expansion of its customer network, the company is seeking a commercially minded Senior Account Manager to help drive regional strategy, strengthen channel partnerships, and support long-term market growth.

Rather than focusing on executive-level selling into large energy companies, the successful candidate will serve as a strategic commercial leader responsible for managing distribution relationships, optimizing market positioning, and supporting profitable growth through a complex channel network.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute regional commercial strategies across North America.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners and key commercial stakeholders.
- Support pricing strategy and commercial decision-making to maximize market opportunity and profitability.
- Evaluate and prioritize opportunities generated through the distribution network.
- Manage channel dynamics where multiple distributors may be competing for the same end-user opportunities.
- Partner closely with supply chain, logistics, operations, product management, and commercial teams to align execution with business objectives.
- Communicate the company’s value proposition and market position to distributors and customers.
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, customer demand patterns, and industry developments.
- Provide market intelligence and commercial insights that support business planning and growth initiatives.
- Participate in forecasting, business reviews, and strategic planning activities.
- 8+ years of commercial, business management, product management, market development, or strategic account management experience.
- Experience with in chemicals, petrochemicals, industrial manufacturing, industrial gases, polymers, specialty chemicals, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated experience supporting pricing decisions, commercial strategy, market development, or portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of distribution channels, commercial partnerships, and channel economics.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple internal functions.
- Strong analytical and commercial problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; technical, engineering, business, or related disciplines preferred.
