** About the Role
** As a Sales Director on our Commercial Sales team you will directly impact the financial success of the organization through the acquisition of new business and the development of strategic customer relationships. You will drive profitable revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing complex commercial opportunities while positioning Element as a trusted business advisor. Success in this role requires a strong hunter mentality, consultative selling skills, executive presence, financial acumen, risk mitigation, and the ability to lead complex sales opportunities through a structured sales process.
** What You’ll Do
*** Generate new business opportunities and acquire new clients within assigned territory and target segments.
* Build and maintain a robust pipeline through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, industry engagement, and outbound business development activities.
* Lead complex sales opportunities from initial discovery through contract execution and implementation.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams including Risk, Legal, Operations, Implementation, Product, and Client Success to ensure successful deal execution.
* Conduct executive-level business discussions with C-suite stakeholders, predominantly Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and Operations leaders.
* Identify strategic business challenges and align Element solutions to measurable operational and financial outcomes.
* Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to maximize market penetration, opportunity creation, and long-term revenue growth.
* Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management through CRM and sales enablement tools in alignment with Element’s preferred sales framework.
* Serve as a market expert by identifying industry trends, competitive insights, customer needs, and emerging opportunities that support Element's growth strategy.
* Remain current on Element’s products and services to effectively position solutions that align with client needs.
** Basic Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field required.
* Minimum 7+ years of successful experience in complex B2B solution sales environments.
* Minimum of 5 years of sales, customer management, or direct fleet management experience.
* Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
* Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and revenue objectives.
* Demonstrated success acquiring new customers through a structured sales methodology.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
* Preferred experience in a financial services customer-facing commercial position.
* Preferred experience within the vehicle management or a related fleet, financial, or asset-based industry.
* Experience with in fleet management, mobility, transportation, financial services, leasing, business services, or other asset-intensive industries preferred.
* Experience leveraging Salesforce, Linked In Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, 6sense, or similar sales intelligence platforms.
* Strong communication, influencing, relationship-building, project management, and critical thinking skills.
