Responsibilities
  • Seek, qualify, and close new business opportunities and maintain an active sales pipeline to ensure revenue growth year‑over‑year.
  • Achieve agreed‑upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule.
  • Reach out to prospective customers through all available channels, including cold calling, cold messaging, attending conferences, Linked In messaging, etc.
  • Identify and monitor new sales prospects, market trends, and competitors.
  • Expand wallet share with current customers.
  • Identify services and pricing that meet customer needs.
  • Work with a team of on‑ and off‑site employees to service your accounts.
  • Prioritize client satisfaction, promote new services, set targets, and ensure healthy relationships between the company and customers.
  • Lead presentations and proposals for accounts.
  • Act as the senior liaison to the brokerage's high‑profile customers.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in freight brokerage shipper‑facing sales.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate freight rates and fees.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Strong familiarity with common industry technology including rating tools and TMS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to work productively remotely.
  • Willingness to travel when needed or possible.
  • Experience building a strong book of business and evangelizing enterprise opportunities with customers having annual revenue of $1B+.
