Position: Senior Midstream BD Leader - Hunter, $1M-$10M Deals

We’re currently representing a global engineering and technology company based in Houston, TX, that is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business across midstream infrastructure, supporting large-scale projects across pipelines, terminals, and gas assets.

It’s a true hunter role with strong autonomy, where you’d be:

  • Developing strategic relationships with key operators
  • Positioning on projects early in the lifecycle
  • Leading full-cycle deal execution (typically $1M–$10M)
  • Working closely with technical teams to deliver integrated solutions

They’re specifically looking for someone with a strong midstream network and track record in project-based sales, who’s comfortable navigating long-cycle, consultative deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, research, and outreach
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across midstream operators
  • Drive early project positioning ahead of RFP/RFQ processes
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to deal closure
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop client solutions
  • Manage long sales cycles tied to capital projects
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide forecasts and reports
  • Deliver revenue growth in line with company targets

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in business development within oil & gas
  • Strong network within midstream operators (pipelines, terminals, storage)
  • Proven track record of achieving $10M+ annual sales
  • Experience with RFP, RFQ, and bid processes
  • Ability to sell into technical, engineering-driven environments
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
