Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive customer acquisition and business growth within the Data Center, Energy Infrastructure, Industrial Construction, and MEP sectors.
This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with contractors, EPC firms, fabricators, engineers, and project owners, and converting project opportunities into RFQs and purchase orders.
This is a hunter-style sales position focused on generating new business rather than managing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new customers within Data Centers, Energy Infrastructure, Industrial Construction, and MEP markets.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, emails, Linked In, networking events, and in-person meetings.
- Develop relationships with General Contractors, MEP Contractors, Electrical Contractors, EPC firms, Steel Fabricators, Engineers, and Procurement teams.
- Manage customer qualification, lead generation, and sales pipeline activities.
- Support vendor registration and supplier onboarding processes.
- Review RFQs, project specifications, and basic technical drawings.
- Coordinate with engineering, estimating, and supply chain teams to prepare quotations.
- Track project opportunities from early-stage development through award.
- Attend industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and provide weekly pipeline reports.
- 3+ years of B2B industrial sales experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries:
Data Centers, Electrical Infrastructure, MEP Construction, Structural Steel. - Strong business development and prospecting skills.
- Ability to conduct cold calls, customer visits, and relationship-building activities.
- Familiarity with RFQ processes, procurement workflows, and vendor registration requirements.
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and project documents.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Existing network within Texas construction, data center, energy, or industrial markets.
- Experience working with General Contractors, MEP Contractors, EPC firms, or Fabricators.
- Experience with Data Center or Energy Infrastructure projects.
- Base Salary: $100,000/yr + Performance Bonus
