We are seeking an experienced and results-driven sales professional to lead MMA (Methyl Methacrylate) sales within our chemical business. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth in both domestic and import markets.
The ideal candidate will oversee the full sales process, including identifying new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships. This position also involves monitoring inventory levels, ensuring accurate sales reporting, and aligning customer needs with internal stakeholders to deliver timely and effective solutions.
Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in strengthening Samsung C&T’s presence in the chemical industry by leveraging market insights, understanding end-use applications, and actively participating in industry events. Strong experience in chemical sales, particularly within distribution and solvent-related products, combined with a proven ability to convert opportunities into revenue, is essential for success in this role.
Duties and responsibilities- Managing MMA sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls
- Conducting inventory assessments, maintaining stockroom organization, and monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages
- Developing new customers and enhancing business relationships
- Maintaining and reporting sales information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicating customer requirements and opportunities to Chemical Division Sales Director
- Understanding customers end markets, sales strategies
- Continuously communicating customer needs to internal counterparts to ensure timely and accurate solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
- Increasing industry awareness and knowledge by attending appropriate industry conferences and company meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited school (preferred)
- Approximately 10 years of domestic sales/local sales/import experience in the chemical industry
- At least 5 years of sales experience at a chemical distribution company (sales experience for solvents is preferred)
- Able to travel domestically and internationally for business trips
- Able to create new opportunities and convert opportunities to revenue in sales
- Resourceful and persistent in prospecting prospective clients
- Excellent communication skills
