Job Description

Promote and market treatment technologies, catalyst, absorbents and services through technical sales visits, presentations and relationship development. Serves as area sales manager from initial client contact through opportunity development, deal closing, and post-sale client follow-up.

  • Develop account plans for major customers in territory.
  • Interface with customer for all sales related communications.
  • Work with and lead area sales reps, to provide market intelligence, identify project opportunities, build relationships with key client decision makers and close sales.
  • Decide sales strategy, customer/prospect contacts and priority of proposals.
  • Manage all contractual documents.
  • Develop selling price and work with proposal team for proposal development.
  • Internalize geographical area issues, competitors, key client power centers.
  • Lead negotiations with customers.
  • Developed relationships and trust with key client process/project personnel.
  • Proven ability to make contacts at multiple levels in customer accounts and understands their internal politics.
Knowledge & Skills
  • BSc, Chemical Engineering.
  • Five (5) years' experience in refining or midstream industry or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of amine and caustic treating principles for removal of sulfur and acidic impurities from hydrocarbon streams, both liquid and gaseous or H2S treating gases.
  • Fluent bilingual (English plus one) or language of assigned territory.
  • Experience selling to refineries midstream, upstream or equivalent industries.
  • Knowledge of spent caustic treating principles.
  • Skilled presenter with industry contacts.
  • Capable of screening prospects/requests for proposal through technical evaluations, process recommendations, proposals, price negotiations, contract development/negotiation and awards.
  • Demonstrated ability to network globally.
  • Working knowledge of refinery, midstream or petrochemical processes.
