5 Factor Technology is seeking an Outside Sales Representative
; a driven, self‑motivated hunter who excels at in‑person prospect engagement. This is a relationship‑driven sales role focused on generating new business within the AEC industry across Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, and U.S. markets.

This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on face‑to‑face interactions, enjoys building relationships through cold visits, lunch meetings, and attending trade shows, and is willing to travel for client engagements and industry events.

You will focus on “building our brand” and creating long‑term relationships that will result in First‑Time Appointments (FTAs), consultative selling, and building long‑term recurring revenue relationships with AEC firms.

Required Qualifications Experience
  • 3‑5+ years of B2B outside sales experience
  • 1‑2+ years selling IT managed services, technology solutions, or professional services
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience with consultative, relationship‑driven sales approach
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, cold calling, and new business development
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and establish trust with decision‑makers
  • Comfortable with in‑person prospecting including cold visits and lunch/dinner meetings
  • Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to ask tough questions and uncover business needs
  • Willingness to travel and represent the company at industry events
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Technical Knowledge
  • General understanding of managed technology services, cybersecurity, cloud computing
  • Familiarity with IT concepts: network management, backup/disaster recovery, compliance
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts in business terms
  • CRM software experience (Salesforce, Hub Spot, or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling to the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction)
  • Previous MSP (Managed Service Provider) sales experience
  • Experience with Sandler sales process or similar MSP methodologies
  • Industry certifications:
    CompTIA, Microsoft, or relevant sales certifications
  • Existing network within the Texas, Oklahoma, and Arizona AEC industry
  • Experience attending/exhibiting at trade shows and conferences
