Business Development Manager – Marine & Heavy Civil About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established contractor specializing in marine construction, heavy civil, and infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic client relationships, and support continued growth throughout the Gulf Coast.

This role is ideal for someone with experience selling marine construction or industrial services who enjoys developing business through relationship-building, networking, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities within the marine construction, heavy civil, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Build relationships with engineering firms, contractors, project owners, consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Identify upcoming projects and position the company for future bidding opportunities.
  • Generate leads through networking, client meetings, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events.
  • Work closely with estimating and operations teams to develop competitive project proposals.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts on business development activity.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, association meetings, and networking events.
  • Stay informed on regional market activity and industry trends.
  • Achieve established sales and business development objectives.
Qualifications
  • Five or more years of business development or outside sales experience.
  • Background in marine construction, dredging, heavy civil, industrial construction, marine services, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success developing new client relationships and winning project opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a sales territory independently.
  • Existing relationships within the Gulf Coast marine or heavy construction market are highly desirable.
Preferred Background
  • Experience selling services related to marine infrastructure, dredging, waterfront construction, heavy civil construction, or industrial contracting is strongly preferred.

Base pay of $120K plus commission, health benefits, generous PTO, and 401(k)
