Casual Sales Ambassador - Highland Village

Houston, Texas, United States

Weekly: 4-19 hours

Sales Ambassadors at Lush are experts in product and brand knowledge, as well as providing exceptional customer consultations and product demonstrations. They cultivate strong team relationships and contribute to overall shop excellence in both sales and operations. On the shop floor, they consistently surpass daily sales goals while creating a fun and inclusive team environment that keeps customers coming back for more.

They encourage thinking from the customer's perspective to create memorable experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Driving Sales: Utilize Store Force dashboard results, seek feedback, and exceed sales goals. Take ownership of your results and actively grow your contribution to the store’s overall sales.
  • Customer

    Experience:

    Deliver a world‑class customer experience, connect with customers, identify needs, demonstrate product benefits, and seek opportunities to make customers’ day.
  • Building the Brand: Educate customers on our brand values (Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, Naked Packaging) and communicate them through store activities.
  • Product Passion: Continuously expand product knowledge and confidently recommend products based on customers’ needs.
  • Team Development: Use Lush resources to develop sales techniques and product knowledge; support team growth and increase sales.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Encourage open communication, listen to team perspectives, promote teamwork, and recognize unique contributions.
  • Operational Excellence – Time & Attendance: Be punctual, reliable, participate in teamwork, prioritize wellbeing, and stay informed of company updates.
  • Operational Excellence – Visuals & Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store; adjust displays in real time; follow Visual Merchandising guidelines.
  • Operational Excellence – Stock & Inventory: Manage inventory according to guidelines and ensure product integrity.
  • Operational Excellence – Policies & Procedures: Practice company standards for opening/closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
    • Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
    • Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Under 18 candidates will be employed on a contract basis through Lush Youth Employment Program in accordance with local regulations.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with consultation‑based customer service models
    • Strong problem‑solving skills for day‑to‑day operations
    • Experience working in a team environment or skincare/cosmetics industry
    • Experience in cross‑cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
    • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages

Highland Village Pay: $15 - $15 USD
