The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting existing customers within the Event Logistics business. The role focuses on proactive sales activity, customer relationship management, preparing quotations, identifying customer requirements, and driving revenue growth. Working closely with customers, operations and sales teams, the position ensures excellent service delivery, contributes to sales targets, and supports long‑term customer retention through effective account management.
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Prepare and follow up on customer quotations and sales enquiries
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable services and solutions
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records within internal systems
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to team objectives
- Support customer retention through regular communication and account management
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Additional sales, customer service, or CRM system training/certifications
- Experience using CRM systems or similar sales/customer management tools
- Experience of working within the Event, Tradeshow Logistics industry
- Previous experience in a customer service, telesales, or inside sales environment
- Experience working towards targets or KPIs in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused role
- Basic understanding of sales processes, including lead handling, quoting, and follow-up
- Ability to accurately input, manage, and interpret data within CRM or sales systems
- Clear and confident verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers professionally
- Strong listening skills to understand customer requirements and respond appropriately
- Effective written communication for emails, quotations, and internal updates
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with customers
