Front Desk & Operations Coordinator
Clayton Services is searching for a Front Desk & Operations Coordinator to join a growing, family-focused business in the Houston Heights area. The Front Desk & Operations Coordinator will oversee day-to-day front-of-house activities while creating an exceptional experience for clients and supporting membership growth, retention, and studio operations. This position is ideal for someone who is personable, organized, comfortable with sales, and enjoys building relationships with customers in an energetic, family-oriented environment.

Houston Heights; 100% onsite
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and families, providing a friendly and welcoming experience upon arrival.
- Manage front desk operations, including client check-in, registrations, payments, scheduling, and general inquiries.
- Promote memberships, packages, services, and add-ons to prospective and existing clients.
- Follow up with clients regarding membership renewals, expiring packages, available bookings, and other opportunities to increase engagement.
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients through phone, text, and email to strengthen relationships, encourage retention, and proactively address concerns.
- Track membership sales, conversions, client outreach, and other activity and provide regular updates to management.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incoming phone calls, emails, booking questions, and general inquiries.
- Assist with coordinating birthday parties, private events, and other special activities.
- Support the execution of promotions, membership offers, marketing initiatives, and client engagement campaigns.
- Maintain accurate client and scheduling information within the studio management system.
- Help ensure the front-of-house area remains organized, stocked, clean, and welcoming.
- Collaborate with studio leadership to identify opportunities to improve the client experience, increase retention, and drive revenue.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with both adults and children.
- Comfortable working in a sales-oriented environment with membership, revenue, and retention goals.
- Confident initiating conversations about memberships, packages, upgrades, and additional services.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with clients through phone, email, and text.
- Ability to learn and effectively use scheduling, registration, and point-of-sale systems such as Walla or similar platforms.
- Comfortable utilizing modern productivity and technology tools, including AI tools, Canva, and Notion.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to identify client needs and follow through without constant direction.
- Friendly, energetic, dependable, and comfortable working in a family-focused environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous customer service experience in a retail, fitness, hospitality, recreation, childcare-adjacent, or similar customer-facing environment preferred.
- Previous membership sales, retail sales, upselling, or other goal-oriented sales experience is highly preferred.
- Experience using scheduling, registration, CRM, or point-of-sale software is a plus.
