Role DescriptionThe Commercial Account Executive is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, assessing their insurance and bond needs, and recommending appropriate property and casualty coverage and risk management solutions. Day‑to‑day tasks include preparing and presenting proposals, processing policy changes, coordinating with carriers, and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
The role involves prospecting and developing new business opportunities, maintaining accurate client records, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient sales operations and high‑quality service. The Commercial Account Executive is expected to build strong relationships with clients, support renewals, and contribute to the overall growth of the agency.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Account Management, with the ability to service and retain commercial clients effectively.
- Strong skills in Sales and Sales Operations, including prospecting, pipeline management, and follow‑through on opportunities.
- Solid understanding of Insurance, particularly property and casualty products and commercial risk management concepts.
- Experience in Sales Management, such as setting goals, tracking performance, and supporting collaborative sales efforts.
- Relevant state insurance licensing (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a client‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work on‑site in Houston, TX, manage multiple priorities, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Prior commercial insurance or agency experience and familiarity with bond placement are preferred.
