Technical Sales & Specification Representative

The HT Group is partnering with an established industrial manufacturer to hire a Technical Sales & Specification Representative. This hybrid role combines technical sales, specification development, project support, and business development. The ideal candidate will have the technical aptitude to understand project specifications and drawings while also having the commercial skills to develop relationships and identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support inside sales activities and identify project opportunities across the U.S.
• Build relationships with engineering firms, EPCs, distributors, contractors, and end users.
• Promote products to technical decision-makers and work to have products included in project specifications and bid packages.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Identify and track projects from specification through bid and award.
• Provide technical and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Help drive adoption and effective use of Hub Spot CRM, including pipeline, project, specification, and customer tracking.
• Partner with internal sales teams to ensure opportunities are effectively pursued and documented.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, specification sales, sales engineering, applications engineering, or technical business development.
• Experience working with engineering firms, EPCs, contractors, distributors, or industrial customers preferred.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and project specifications.
• Strong technical aptitude and communication skills.
• Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• CRM experience required;
  Hub Spot experience is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up and project management skills.
