EXCITING OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

CORY is hiring a Senior Business Development Executive on behalf of a growing multifamily owner/operator expanding its third‑party management platform.

This is a high‑impact, externally facing role for a relationship‑driven multifamily professional who understands real estate from the asset level up. The ideal candidate can source new business, evaluate property performance, identify operational upside, and clearly articulate how stronger management can improve owner returns.

This is a remote role with monthly travel to the firm’s home market and active markets.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a privately held, full‑service multifamily operator with a diversified portfolio spanning conventional, affordable, HUD, and value‑add assets across the Southern U.S. Operating as both an owner and third‑party property manager, the firm provides best‑in‑class operations, leasing, maintenance, and asset optimization for owners and investors across multiple markets. As the company continues to expand its third‑party management platform, they are seeking a senior business development leader to drive new client growth and strengthen market presence.

YOUR

RESPONSIBILITIES AS A LEADER
  • Source, qualify, and pursue new third‑party property management opportunities across conventional, affordable, HUD, and value‑add multifamily assets.
  • Own the full business development cycle from prospecting and relationship building through proposal development, presentation, and contract execution.
  • Conduct property‑level due diligence, including review of rent rolls, T12s, lease structures, occupancy trends, and operational performance.
  • Identify rent upside, operational inefficiencies, and value‑creation opportunities that support a compelling management strategy.
  • Perform market research using CoStar, Apartments IQ, Excel, and comparable data to build data‑backed pitch materials.
  • Evaluate asset debt structures, including loan type, maturity, coverage constraints, and financing considerations that influence ownership decisions.
  • Build polished pitch packages, market summaries, and presentations that clearly communicate how the firm will operate the property and improve results.
  • Present confidently to ownership groups, asset managers, investors, brokers, lenders, and capital partners.
  • Build and maintain a targeted database of owners, brokers, lenders, and industry contacts across the firm’s geographic footprint.
  • Cultivate long‑term broker, owner, and investor relationships to support a sustainable business development pipeline.
  • Participate in monthly business development meetings and represent the firm at industry events and in active markets.
THE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU POSSESS
  • 5+ years of multifamily real estate experience in property management, business development, acquisitions, asset management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to source new business, manage client relationships, and influence ownership‑level decisions.
  • Strong understanding of multifamily operations, property performance, and owner/investor priorities.
  • Ability to independently read and interpret rent rolls, T12s, occupancy trends, and financial performance data.
  • Experience across multiple asset classes, including conventional, affordable, HUD, Section 8, and B/C value‑add communities.
  • Working knowledge of multifamily debt structures, loan types, coverage ratios, and how financing impacts owner decision‑making.
  • Proficiency with CoStar, Apartments IQ, Excel, and other tools used for market research and financial analysis.
PERKS & BENEFITS YOU’LL RECEIVE
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Performance‑based bonus tied to third‑party management contracts secured.
  • Full benefits package.
  • Remote‑first structure with monthly travel and active market presence.
  • High‑visibility role with direct access to senior leadership.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in expanding a growing third‑party management platform.
COMPENSATION

$400,000 per year.
