We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Specialist to drive new business growth throughout the Greater Houston area. This role will focus on developing relationships and generating revenue within the construction industry, with a primary emphasis on data center construction projects, industrial facilities, and commercial construction developments.
The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, developing new client relationships, and closing deals. This individual will work closely with general contractors, owners, developers, EPC firms, engineering companies, and construction decision-makers to position our services and solutions on upcoming and active projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the data center, industrial, and commercial construction sectors.
Prospect and build relationships with general contractors, construction managers, developers, owners, engineering firms, and procurement teams.
Generate and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, cold calling, referrals, industry events, and market research.
Monitor upcoming construction projects and identify opportunities during pre-construction and planning phases.
Schedule and conduct client meetings, presentations, site visits, and project reviews.
Prepare proposals, pricing packages, and sales presentations tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with internal operations and project teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, activity reports, and opportunity tracking.
Attend industry trade shows, networking events, association meetings, and client functions to expand business relationships.
Consistently meet or exceed established sales and revenue targets.
3+ years of business development, outside sales, staffing sales, construction sales, or industrial sales experience.
Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals.
Strong understanding of construction project life cycles and industry stakeholders.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to confidently engage executives, project managers, estimators, and procurement personnel.
Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and strong desire to achieve sales goals.
Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Experience selling into data center construction projects.
Existing relationships with construction companies, developers, owners, engineering firms, or EPC contractors.
Knowledge of the Houston commercial and industrial construction market.
Experience identifying opportunities through construction reporting platforms such as Dodge, Construct Connect, Building Connected, or similar tools.
Previous experience with staffing, workforce solutions, specialty contracting, low voltage, electrical, mechanical, or industrial services.
