Behavioral Science provides research-driven clinical care to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage changes to reduce cancer risk, improve adherence to cancer treatment, enhance survivors' coping with long-term consequences of cancer treatment and provide a model of optimal care for cancer-related psychosocial and behavioral issues. The model will provide a setting for translational research in cancer-related lifestyle changes and psychosocial interventions, and training for behavioral health care providers.

The Sr. Research Data Coordinator will support the qualitative research component of several grants led by Dr. Jane Montealegre and her implementation science team. The Sr. Research Data Coordinator will be responsible for working with the AIM Core to code qualitative interviews and maintain tracking spreadsheets of all interviewed participants. Additional responsibilities include modifying IRB protocols for review/approval by Principal Investigator.

The position requires use of computers, Microsoft Office software, qualitative analysis software, protocol management platforms, demonstration of good judgement, resourcefulness and independent decision-making.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, experience with qualitative research methods, familiarity with IRB processes, and strong skills using Microsoft Office, qualitative analysis software, and protocol management platforms. Experience working in research settings, coding interviews, and coordinating communication across various stakeholders is highly valuable.

Minimum $24.28/hr – Midpoint $30.29/hr – Maximum $36.30/hr

Responsibilities Stakeholder Interviews
  • Coordinate logistics for qualitative interviews with providers, patients, and other stakeholders across multiple projects
  • Serve as point of contact for interview scheduling and communication
  • Conduct interviews using the provided interview guide and qualitative interviewing techniques
  • Assess barriers and motivators related to implementation of cancer screening and diagnostic technologies
Qualitative Data Collection & Coding
  • Obtain verbal consent and ensure recordings are saved in the project drive
  • Collect and maintain qualitative datasets in accordance with project protocols
  • Serve as second coder with guidance from the AIM Core to organize qualitative data into CFIR constructs
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets of interviewed participants
Communication & Collaboration
  • Follow established communication protocols with interview participants and project partners
  • Participate in weekly project meetings to discuss goals, status updates, protocol changes, and challenges
  • Communicate concerns and updates proactively to the Program Manager and project team
Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate tracking spreadsheets for interviews planned and completed
  • Provide verbal and written updates on project progress as needed
  • Assist in generating quarterly and annual reports for funding agencies
IRB & Protocol Management
  • Create and submit modifications to study protocols in OneIRB as directed
  • Provide status updates to the study team regarding protocol submissions and approvals
Education

Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience

Required:

Four years related experience, or no experience required with preferred degree

Preferred:
Prior experience with qualitative research methods, familiarity with IRB processes, and strong skills using Microsoft Office, qualitative analysis software, and protocol management platforms
