Research Scientist, Clinical Research
Overview
The current program aims to recruit and train a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Yang Chen at the Department of Translational Molecular Pathology, MD Anderson Cancer Center. This program focuses on investigating the tumor microenvironment of pancreatic cancer by integrating computational biology (utilizing single‑cell genomics) and experimental biology (using novel transgenic mouse models). The recruited postdoctoral fellow will learn both computational and experimental techniques under the supervision of Dr.
Yang Chen and will also gain experience in cell biology, molecular biology, pathology, and immunology to complete a variety of research projects and publications.
By combining functional and computational studies, this program aims to train the recruited postdoctoral fellow to systematically conduct multiple research projects that may identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets at the interface of single‑cell genomics, tumor microenvironment, and tumor immunology. The goal is to translate these discoveries into early diagnosis and therapeutic options for pancreatic cancer patients and to prepare the trainee for conducting independent research projects.
