Health Services Research conducts the highest quality health services research with the ultimate aims of optimizing health care delivery and improving outcomes for the prevention and treatment of cancer.
The Senior Research Data Coordinator oversees educational and research activities for grant-funded projects within the Department of Health Services Research. Responsibilities include coordinating workshops, webinars, and trainee mentoring; collaborating with investigators and community partners; maintaining regulatory protocols and reports; supporting participant recruitment, enrollment, and data collection; coordinating program and research meetings; and preparing reports and manuscripts. The role also provides administrative and research coordination support, manages research participant data, and ensures compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills with the ability to work independently, follow instructions, manage multiple priorities, meet critical deadlines, conduct high-volume outreach activities, provide administrative support, coordinate educational programs and workshops, manage email accounts, and effectively communicate with faculty, investigators, patients, and other stakeholders. Experience supporting research studies, participant recruitment, regulatory documentation, and data management is highly desirable.
Salary Range (Hourly Equivalent):
Minimum $24.28 - Midpoint $30.29 - Maximum $36.30

The typical work schedule is hybrid with at least 3 days per week onsite and additional onsite attendance based on business needs.

- Maintain electronic records of program activities, correspondence, and meetings
- Review and screen participants for eligibility and obtain informed consent as required
- Administer questionnaires to determine patient eligibility and verify accuracy of data entered into research databases
- Develop and maintain databases for research data collection, integrity, and manipulation
- Collect and coordinate data from patients and medical charts for assigned research projects
- Organize research data for efficient retrieval, reporting, and analysis
- Assist with developing and utilizing recruitment materials for educational program participants
- Collaborate with Information Technology staff to develop and maintain institutional websites
- Conduct outreach through mailings, emails, and phone calls to promote programs and engage participants
- Perform high-volume telephone outreach activities to support recruitment and enrollment efforts
- Interview physicians and program participants and complete protocol-required procedures
- Enroll eligible patients through clinic-based and phone recruitment methods for assigned studies
- Coordinate participant enrollment and engagement activities across research projects
- Adhere to institutional research policies, patient confidentiality requirements, and research procedures
- Create, maintain, and collect project-related regulatory documentation
- Manage informed consent forms, protocol-related training certificates, approval letters, continuation review documents, sponsor-issued materials, and study correspondence
- Coordinate communications with institutional review boards, sponsors, study sites, investigators, and research teams
- Support the preparation and maintenance of protocol documentation and regulatory reports
- Collect program evaluation data through interviews, surveys, and other assessment methods
- Conduct and transcribe qualitative interviews
- Write and edit content for protocols, reports, manuscripts, presentations, and research materials
- Assist in preparing teaching materials, PowerPoint presentations, and audiovisual content
- Prepare procedure manuals for research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator
- Coordinate educational programs, workshops, webinars, and trainee mentoring activities
- Draft information for reports, manuscripts, and project deliverables
- Maintain tracking logs for study-related materials, incentives, and electronic equipment
