As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Houston, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a fast‑paced healthcare donation location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. With an active armed guard card/license, you will partner with site staff and visitors to deliver reliable service, act with integrity, and contribute to a caring, team‑focused culture.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to staff, donors, patients, and visitors by following Allied Universal security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, using de‑escalation techniques and requesting medical staff and/or law enforcement support when needed.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, screening for authorized entry, and observing for prohibited items and/or suspicious activity, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
  • Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, and use‑of‑force guidelines, and complete required security‑related reports and incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement/military/security experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
