Responsible for patrolling, protecting, and securing all Harris Health System's buildings and grounds, promoting safety and security at all locations. Promotes safety and security at all Harris Health locations. Responds to all crisis intervention team activations, prevents patient elopements, and assists medical staff with restraint of patients as requested.

• High School Diploma or GED

• IAHSS Basic Security Officer Training Program completed within six months of employment
• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Basic Life Support from a hospital-based AHA program
• Aggression Management certification or equivalent required within 30 days; if another certification is held at the time of hire, recertify as Aggression Management upon expiration of the held certification
• Registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau (TPSB III) within 90 days of employment

One (1) year of experience in security, criminal justice, military, healthcare, or related fields; or a combination of the above.

Above average verbal communication (heavy public contract), writing, and reports.
