Harris Health System is the public healthcare safety-net provider established in 1966, serving the residents of Harris County, Texas.

Responsible for patrolling, protecting, and securing all Harris Health System buildings and grounds to promote safety and security at all locations. Responds to all crisis intervention team activations and assists by providing security for the area.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (must be completed within six months of employment).
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
  • TPSB III:
    Must be registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days of employment.
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Above average verbal (heavy public contact) and writing/reporting.
• Proficiencies: MS Word, PC, typing.
• Job Attributes:
  Work schedule includes weekends, flexible, overtime, holidays.
• Other Requirements: E‑1 availability during disaster situations; must be able to understand and communicate in English in both verbal and written forms.
• Equipment Operated: PC‑based electronic access control, CCTV, parking systems, handheld radio systems, patrol vehicle.
