Security Officer Experienced Armed Driving Role –

This position involves armed patrol duties at a busy retail location, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to discourage incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. The role requires confidence, integrity, and teamwork while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable culture.

Pre‑Employment Requirements (Contractual)

• 21+ years of age
• Active Armed Guard Card/License (Texas only)
• Valid Driver's License – AU Driver Policy Requirements
• 3+ years combined law enforcement/corrections/military or 5+ years armed security experience

Job Schedule

Day Time – Mon 01:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Fri 03:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Sat 03:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Sun 01:30 PM – 11:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and solve problems, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts or local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, surrounding exterior areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and report suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high‑traffic areas, and cash‑handling zones to deter theft, trespassing, and disorderly conduct while maintaining a professional presence.
• Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with post orders, Allied Universal guidelines, and applicable laws, and be prepared to respond to security‑related concerns at the location.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security‑related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification (Texas only).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
